We have a great range of "littlies" clothing. We stock sizes for children from 2/3 years upwards. Poivre Blanc specialises in offering 'adult stuff' in kids sizes, as does SOS and Cross- just a couple of our favourites! We even have some awesome 1 piece suits by Phenix which have a unique fitting system which makes it possible for the SAME SUIT to fit kids from 2-6yrs old!

We also have snowboots for rent @ $15 per pair per day - excellent for kids playing about in the snow, especially if you also want to rent one of our toboggans for a bit of family fun! Our retail store also sells kids harnesses and "Edgie-Wedgies" which we recommend for kids around the 3 years old mark who are learning to ski or just need a bit of help keeping their pizza pointed in the front!

Kids Rental & Family Discounts

We rent and retail equipment for children aged 3/4 years and older. We also offer families a discount of 15% on the cost of their rental equipment (minimum 1 adult and 1 child which is applied to your rental account when you come into the shop for your custom fitting).

Kids Equipment Buy Back Scheme - now here's a good idea.......

If you purchase childrens skis and/or boots from us, we offer to buy the equipment back from you at up to 40% of its original value (depending on condition) when the kids grow and you purchase their next set of equipment from us. Talk to the retail shop team for more information.

Kids Equipment Packages

We try to make things as easy and cost effective for you as we can, so we have put together some packages (limited availability) of Fischer skis and bindings. The packages come in two lengths so that they are suitable for children of different ages and sizes. Talk to Haggis in the Queenstown retail store for more information and availability.

CHILDRENS SKI SCHOOL

QUEENSTOWN FIELDS - Youth age is 7yrs - 17years. For snowboard the minimum age is 8 years. Children up to and including 10 years old SKI FOR FREE AT THE REMARKABLES.

Kiwi Kids - Age 3 months to under 3 years - half day $50 or $75 full day not including lunch. VERY IMPORTANT - you will need to pre-book as places are strictly limited. This year a non refundable deposit of $25 is required to secure your childs place. You can book by emailing school@coronetpeak.co.nz or school@theremarkables.co.nzor phone (03) 442 4626

Skiwi Kids - Age 3yrs - 5yrs - skiing and non skiing options available $50 half day non skiing or $75 with lesson. Full day lesson and lunch is $125.

Kea Club - Age 6yrs - 15 yrs & Shredders (ski & snowboard) - Age 8 - 15 yrs - full day lessons and lunch @ $100 @ Coronet Peak & $90 @ Remarkables. Combo packages for multiple days, or including lift pass & gear are also available. Half day rate, morning or afternoon is $55 @ CP & $49 @ Remarks. You will probably want to check out the full range of possibilities @ www.nzski.com. Helmet rental is available at $10 per day.

Coronet Peak, Remarkables & Mt Hutt no longer offer children's starter packs.

CARDRONA - Ski group lessons are available for 5 year olds upwards, and snowboard lessons from 8yrs. Kids 6yrs and under ski for free. Child age is 6-17yrs inclusive.

Probably the most comprehensive kids facilities in the area offering 4 different Kids Centres.

The 'Nursery & Pre School' is a licensed Early Childhood Centre (non skiing) catering for children from as young as 3 months, to 4 years.

The 'Ski Korral' is for 3-4 year olds and is a licenced Early Childhood Centre with optional lessons.

The Kids Club caters for 5-14 year olds and the Kids Programme Centre is designed for 5-14 year olds.

Bookings are recommended on (03) 443 9806 and ESSENTIAL for The Nursery and Ski Korral. You can complete a booking form online at their website which is pretty handy too.

TREBLE CONE - Lower Mountain Lift pass (Nice n Easy Platter & Magic Carpet) is free for everyone!

Childrens ski school is for kids as young as 3 and up to 15 yrs.

Childrens Starter Pack (for absolute beginners only) includes one lesson (either morning or afternoon), beginner pass and equipment rental costs $99.

Indoor Child Care Centre - fully supervised and has games, drawing materials etc and accepts kids under 3 years as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Bookings are preferred by email info@treblecone.com.

TC Cat Club - under 6 yrs (ski only) - full day kids programme - 5 hours including 1 hour supervised lunch $72 or $216 for 3 days, $360 for 5 days.

TC Cat Club Age 6 - 16 yrs - $110 1 full day (5 hours including lunch and supervision), $320 3 days or $510 for 5 days.

Sliders & Riders Age 6 - 12 yrs - 10am till 3pm $325 - every Sunday for 6 weeks.

Minimum age for snowboarding lessons is 6yrs.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Available at all ski areas for children of all ages. These too can be pre-booked, which is not a bad idea in busy school holiday times or for kids who are too young for group lessons.

BURTON AFTERNOON FREESTYLE SESSONS at the Remarkables, only for level 4-6 riders @ $58. Helmets compulsory.

OZONE TUBING PARK

At the Remarkables, purpose built tubing lanes are great family fun. $19 adult $12 child, $50 for 2 adults & children.

NZ SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMMES:-

Remember to check out the ski area website for a list of all the programmes available if the kids are keen.

Coronet Peak has the "Kruiser Squad" for ages 6-17 yrs (from 8 years for snowboard), full day = 10.20am until 3.50pm for 5 days. 09 start dates are 7 July, 12 July, & 27 September Price including lunch is $395 or $545 including lift pass.

Treble Cone has the TC Cat Club (which operates all season long) and caters for children from 3 years upwards. The TC Freeski Camp is available for skiers only and caters for 13-17yrs who are skiing at a strong intermediate to expert level. The Camp runs for one week beginning on 6 July.

Cardrona offers (all season) 4 day programmes for "Skiwees" - 5-14yrs skiing, and "Low Riders" - 8-14yrs snowboarding. Programme includes 6 hours supervision, and has optional add on's of lunch, equipment, and lift pass.
